Mobile training in Derai Upazila

A day-long mobile training was held at the Upazila Agricultural Training Center on 26.02.2025 under the initiative of the Upazila Cooperative Office, Dirai, Sunamganj. The United Nations UNDP Funded by the Local Government Department  LOGIC  Twelve climate and livelihood development cooperatives have been formed and registered in Dirai Upazila with 2000 women beneficiaries of the project. 24 women cooperative members of these 12 cooperatives and members of another savings and credit cooperative have been provided training on various subjects.The Upazila Agriculture Officer, Dirai, Sunamganj, provided training on methods of producing poison-free vegetables and spices amidst the ecological crisis of the haor, especially on the cultivation of ginger, turmeric, sweet pumpkin, raw chili, onion and rasud in sacks even during floods, and on organic pest control without the use of chemicals.

The District Cooperative Officer, Sunamganj provided training on cooperative society accounting and auditing, and annual general meetings and elections. The Upazila Executive Officer, Dirai provided training on what to do to prevent violence against women and children and various steps taken by the government to ensure equality for women in society.
Upazila Cooperative Officer, Dirai, Sunamganj provided training to cooperatives on the Integrated Digital Service Platform.
